The day from 'nam
Well.
Now seems as good a time as any to update (finally)
I sold my car!
Its a bit sad to see it go, but with the amount of time & money needing to be spent in the near future, it wasn’t really worth keeping.
Plus i’m going to save a whole lot in insurance and petrol costs.
Because…
I bought a new car!
Kat and I are joint owners in a little 1991 Nissan Pulsar!
Its small! Its cute! Its economical and fun to drive!
Exclamation overload!
Meanwhile, I’ve been keeping myself busy reading and movie-watching and playing Grand theft auto San andreas on the xbox.
and sort of counting down the days till Kat gets back.
I miss her tons.
She’s in Canada right now and while i’m totally excited for her to be there and having fun, i’d prefer she was just home.
I’ve also been looking around at different jobs, i’m feeling a little held-back and maybe even bored with what i’ve currently got.
Plus the company i’m working for seems like its falling down around me, so i’ve been keeping my eyes open for opportunities.
I have an interview tomorrow (OMG NERVOUS/EXCITED MUCH?!)
AND
Today (monday, of all days) we had a major telecommunications outage between the North Island and the South Island.. Everything Telecom-based died.
Phones/Cell phones/data/internet.

It’s been a total nightmare.. and its quite funny picking up the phone to call christchurch, then realising they can’t answer.
The only way we could really talk to anyone on site was to call someones personal VODAFONE cellphone.
I’m sure its some form of divine intervention, hopefully waking the government and taxpayer up to the horrible monopoly that is Telecom.
Oh, and it also caused the NZ Stock exchange to have to go offline. (again)
ANYWAY
On top of all that we’ve just had a fire alarm go off, which apparently was caused from some form of fire on the 2nd level of my building here at work.
Eek!
I guess at least its not boring today :)
